Depart from your hometown Amtrak Station and travel on Amtrak’s Keystone Service to Philadelphia 30th Street Station. Upon arrival take the escalator up to the main level of the Station. Follow the signs to SEPTA Regional Rail (Philadelphia’s transit system) located on the mezzanine level (30th St. side) of the station.

SEPTA Passenger Services staff can help you find the track for the next SEPTA train heading towards Center City. On board SEPTA, show your Amtrak ticket* to the conductor for a free ride to Market East Station (12th & Market St.) where you’re a short walk to the Independence National Historical Park area.

Start your visit at the Visitor’s Center at 5th and 6th on Market Street. Enjoy your day touring the Liberty Bell Center, Independence Hall, Betsy Ross House and much more. When you’re ready to return home, simply go to the Market East Station and take any SEPTA train heading back to 30th Street Station where you will catch the train back to your home station.

*Both Amtrak paper tickets and e-Tickets, purchased for the same date of travel and presented for inspection, will be accepted as a fare to ride on Regional Rail trains between 30th Street Station and Market East Station. Customers with e-Ticket confirmations should present their personal device (iPad, laptop computer, smart phone, etc.) to the SEPTA Conductor for visual confirmation of the Amtrak fare.
